Columbus, OH www.trinitycolumbus.org/ Come and Grow is part of the character of Trinity Columbus' website. Even their background color reminds us what Jesus said we can do with faith the size of a mustard seed – plant a vision of the Kingdom of Heaven – a tree grown out of the smallest seed, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade (Mark 4:30). This sacred space on Capital Hill provides Open Shelter Inc. to homeless people – providing food, clothing, housing assistance, and financial management services. Trinity’s website highlights the church’s full wheelchair accessibility, outreach ministry to the deaf, and smiling clergy and staff (except for the Carilloneur… hmm). This summer, Trinity is opening its doors wide open to General Convention, where the House of Bishops will meet to elect the next Presiding Bishop; children will participate in a Narnia program; the National Altar Guild, Episcopal Women's Caucus, and Integrity will host events; and young adults will celebrate Compline each night at 10pm. Whether you are interested in becoming a "lay weeder," helping to tend the Cathedral's gardens, or looking for a well-weeded website which follows a cardinal web-writing rule – omit needless words – it is clear that Trinity is intent on doing the work needed to truly grow and become a house of prayer for all peoples.
